Mercedes Launches New C-Class In Bangalore

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new C-Class executive saloon in Bangalore. The latest generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class was recently unveiled with a starting price of Rs.29.79 lakhs. However the price in Bangalore is slated to be Rs.29.92 lakhs for the petrol variant ahnd the diesel C-Class costs Rs.32.73 lakhs.

Mercedes-Benz has claimed the new C-Class offers a distinct sporty & aggressive look while retaining its classic appeal. The German carmaker has added several new features which include safety devices which takes the new C-Class one rung above its closest competition.

Mercedes' entry all new level sedan has got 2,000 changes when compared with its predecessor. The design is more sporty and aggressive. The exterior panels have been redesigned with a more pronounced waist line. The interiors also has been restyled with a focus on improved touch and feel.

Mercedes-Benz India Director Sales & Marketing Debashis Mitra said, “The new C-Class, with its complete redesign both external and internal, will continue to set newer benchmarks in design, quality and luxury for the segment, with features that are stylish and luxurious like the first ever Panaromic Sunroof in this segment.”

The new C-Class will be available in two options. The diesel powered C 250 CDI and the petrol powered C 200. Both these cars are equipped with 7-speed automatic transmission. The diesel car with a 2.14 litre engine produces 204bhp max power @ 4200rpm and 500nm of max torque @ 1600-1800rpm. The petrol car with a 1.8 litre engine produces 186bhp of max power @ 5600rpm and 285 nm of max torque @ 2400-4000rpm.
