Ohio Golf Favorite Fired Up For Fall

Midwest golfers looking for great fall getaways and opportunities to play around popular Ohio State football games can play two rounds of golf at Longaberger Golf Club, Ohio’s No. 1-ranked public course, starting at $163 with an overnight stay in October.

The Columbus-area layout, managed by Billy Casper Golf, has just released its fall golf packages:

Longaberger Fall Stay-and-Play: Enjoy two rounds of golf at Longaberger Golf Club and an overnight stay, starting at $163 midweek, and $190 on weekends – a savings of $30 over high-season rates (available Oct. 3-30.)

Nine Stars of Golf Package: Includes a round of golf at Longaberger plus a round at nearby EagleSticks, with overnight stay, starting at $137 midweek or $157 on weekends. (Available Oct. 3-30.)

All golfers can also sign up at the pro shop for upcoming events this fall, including:

Golf and Beer Dinner (Oct. 14): Play an afternoon round of golf, followed by a 7 p.m. beer tasting and dinner, for $99. Golf widows and non-golfing friends can join the dinner for $35 per person. Book an overnight stay and play package, and enjoy the Illinois game the next day.

Nine Stars Two-Person Best Ball Event (Oct. 22-23): This weekend event includes rounds at both Longaberger Golf Club and Eagle Sticks to vie for prizes and bragging rights. The Buckeyes are off this week — making it a perfect weekend to fill with golf.

Turkey Open (Nov. 20): Enjoy the game against Penn State on the 19th, and then start Thanksgiving week with this fun golf event that includes brunch at 9:30 am followed by a shotgun start at 11 a.m.

Ideal fall weather conditions with sunny temperatures in the 60s are the norm in Central Ohio, providing fairways lined with brilliant reds, oranges and yellows. Longaberger Golf Club’s grand clubhouse includes casual dining and a 19th hole bar area to watch college or NFL games after play.

Opened in 1999 to rave reviews, Longaberger Golf Club is a 7,243-yard, par-72 parkland style layout designed by Arthur Hills. Located within an easy drive of Columbus, Ohio, the course is open to the public and has received a multitude of accolades.
